1. Agreement
By purchasing, subscribing to, or using Detroit Opportunity Desk services, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Subscription Cancellation Policy. If you purchase for a business, you confirm that you are authorized to act for that business and are at least 18 years old.
2. What the service includes
Detroit Opportunity Desk researches publicly available procurement sources and provides summaries, fit observations, deadlines, source links, and practical evaluation steps. The exact deliverables depend on the product purchased and the information supplied in your intake.
The Pilot Pack includes one personalized opportunity brief and 30 days of basic alerts. Founding Member Beta includes weekly research updates and matched alerts. Detailed member briefs may be purchased separately.
3. What the service does not include
We are not a government agency and do not provide legal, tax, accounting, certification, lobbying, proposal-writing, bid-submission, or procurement-representation services. We do not act as your agent and do not guarantee that an opportunity will remain open, fit your business, result in a response, or lead to an award.
4. Your responsibilities
- Provide complete, accurate, and current business information.
- Review every official solicitation, amendment, deadline, and agency instruction yourself.
- Confirm eligibility, licensing, insurance, bonding, registration, and submission requirements.
- Make your own decision about whether and how to pursue an opportunity.
- Do not send passwords, Social Security numbers, card details, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
5. Timing and delivery
We confirm a complete intake within one business day. Pilot briefs are targeted for delivery within two business days after a complete intake. Founding Member Beta customers receive a first research update within five business days after a complete intake, followed by weekly updates. A weekly update may state that no qualifying match was found.
Timing may change when the intake is incomplete, a request materially changes, a public portal is unavailable, or circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent delivery. We will communicate material delays.
6. Pricing, recurring billing, and cancellation
Prices are shown before checkout and processed by Stripe. The Pilot Pack is a one-time purchase and does not renew automatically. Founding Member Beta is billed monthly until canceled. Cancellation stops future renewals and is governed by the Subscription Cancellation Policy.
7. Research accuracy and third-party sources
We aim to provide useful and timely research, but public information can be incomplete, changed, delayed, or removed. Official agency materials control if a summary conflicts with a solicitation or amendment. Links to government portals, Stripe, and other third parties are governed by those parties' own terms and practices.
8. Intellectual property and permitted use
You may use purchased briefs internally for your own business evaluation and bidding decisions. You may not resell, republish, scrape, or distribute our reports as a competing service without written permission. Government source materials remain subject to their applicable public-use rules.
9. Disclaimer and limitation
Services are provided on an “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. Detroit Opportunity Desk is not liable for lost bids, missed awards, portal outages, agency changes, indirect losses, or business decisions made from a report. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service giving rise to that claim during the three months before the event.
10. Changes and Michigan law
We may update these terms prospectively by posting a revised effective date. These terms are governed by Michigan law, except where another law must apply.
